It becomes imperative that we topple tyrants
"Sardarapat" movement initiative group salutes and congratulates the Egyptian people for rising up and overthrowing the despotic regime that ruled the country for 30 years.
"With the help of riot police and oligarchs, Egyptian authorities tried to break the will of the Egyptian people and silence their rage. President Hosni Mubarak had to resign after meeting a smashing rebuff.
To lead a fair, dignified and prosperous life, the Egyptian people should demonstrate a common will and build a country that lives in the heart and mind of each citizen.
Despotic systems have exhausted themselves and it becomes increasingly imperative to topple tyrants. Like an appendix, they become an excessive burden, and sooner or later they will, appear in the political garbage dump, or behind bars.
Uprisings in Kyrgyzstan, Tunisia and Egypt, grew into civil disobedience and overthrew the oppressive and inhumane regimes. What is most interesting, revolutions took place before or after the elections. This should become a subject of reflection for the leaders of Armenian opposition.
Today the Armenian people should unite and overthrow the anti-Armenian regime that threatens the country's statehood and tramples on the dignity of the Armenian people," reads the statement of Sardarapat movement.
