Approved the resignation
The National Assembly approved the resignation filed by RA Ombudsman Armen Harutyunyan in the beginning of today's session.
"The third day for taking the resignation back established by rules and regulations is up. Armen Harutyunyan has not taken it back and the resignation is considered approved," announced NA Chairman Hovik Abrahamyan.
Former RA Ombudsman Armen Harutyunyan filed for resignation due to his new post as Regional Representative of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to Central Asia.
There has not been an official nomination of a new Ombudsman.
