Ambassador promised to do his utmost
The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ireland to Armenia John Rowan (seat in Sofia), presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.
The interlocutors discussed the perspectives of development of Armenian-Irish relations. Taking into consideration that Deputy Friendship Groups have been established in the Parliaments of the two countries, Serzh Sargsyan emphasized the importance of inter-parliamentary ties and cooperation within international organizations.
Ambassador Rowan said "the cooperation between the two countries in the fields of science and research, culture, high technologies has good perspectives."
"Armenians and Irish can bee met in any part of the world, and this is one of our similarities. Throughout my mission, I have met Armenians in Beirut, California and many other places. I feel deep respect for the Armenian people and culture, which is as rich as the Irish one. I'm ready to do my utmost to contribute to the development of relations between our countries," Ambassador Rowan said.
