Companies will register in three days
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan today received the delegation led by Head of the International Finance Corporation's Investment Climate Advisory Services unit for Europe and Central Asia Lisa Kaestner.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the process and further actions of the "Program for simplification of reforms and the regulatory field for business in Armenia". In that context, the sides attached importance to the deepening o\f cooperation in the spheres of paying taxes, cross-border trade and inspections. The sides also stressed the need of including local and international experts.
Touching upon the taxing and customs reforms, it was mentioned that in 2010 the RA Government made a number of legislative reforms, which have reduced 30% of the time that businessmen spend on preparing tax reports. Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan mentioned that starting from 1 January 2011, taxpayers have the opportunity to submit the reports on the value added tax online.
The sides also attached importance to the introduction of the system of registering legal persons by the principle of "One Window Stop", which will be implemented by the RA Ministry of Justice for simplifying the development of new businesses. Through this system, registration will take 3 days. The introduction of the system will provide interested departments with the opportunity to exchange information online.
