Sukiasyan will no longer be persecuted
The head of the investigative group of the RA Special Investigative Service today notified former MP Khachatur Sukiasyan's attorneys Ara Zakaryan and Artur Grigoryan that Sukiasyan is no longer under persecution.
The persecution was terminated under Part 2, Article 35 of the RA Criminal Procedure Code, that is, no evidence of participation in the crime. Khachatur Sukiasyan was charged with "mass disturbances" under Article 225 of the RA Criminal Code in the wake of the events of March 1, 2008.
Interestingly, although Sukiasyan's attorneys were notified today, the decision of the SIS was taken on 19 October 2010.
Khachatur Sukiasyan is currently out of the country.
