Hovik Abrahamyan labels Turkish statements as immoral
The National Assembly started its first four-day session in 2011 under the sounds of the national anthem.
Following the presentation of the agenda, Heritage faction MP Armen Martirosyan addressed a question to the National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan.
"A few days ago a Turkish representative raised the issue of territories "occupied" by Armenia. A country that has occupied our motherland and part of Cyprus is speaking about territories "occupied" by Armenia. As the speaker of the Armenian parliament and the second top figure in the country, don't you think that it is time to withdraw Armenia's signature from the Armenian-Turkish Protocols?" said Martirosyan.
"We have repeatedly expressed our position on the issue. Armenia has not altered its stance," said Hovik Abrahamyan labeling the statement by the Turkish official as immoral."
