Listened to pregnant women
The Armenian government today discussed the draft law on making foreseen changes in the RA law "On Subsidies for Temporary Inability to Work".
According to the proposed changes, it is foreseen to eliminate the maximum threshold of the monthly average salary taken from hired workers for calculating the subsidy for pregnancy and birth and reconsider the order of estimating the average salary.
It is also foreseen to pay the subsidy for the non-working days in the period of temporary inability to work and still not pay the subsidy for Saturdays and Sundays, which fixes the previous flaw.
During the discussion, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan assigned RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artur Grigoryan to organize a public discourse with the participation of non-governmental organizations to receive comments and suggestions from the public at large.
The draft law and the invitation to a public discourse will be posted on the official website of the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, as reported by the press service of the RA Government.
