Relatives and friends of the nine political prisoners remaining in Armenian prisons after the tragic events of March 1, 2008, gathered outside the Prosecutor General's Office already for the 137th time.

They called for the release of the political prisoners, chanting "Free political prisoners," "Punish murderers," "Serzh, you are murderer," "Hyenas, hands off the political prisoners!"

Today, the group handed another letter to the Prosecutor General with the same demand.

"Armenian authorities have violated the country's laws for the 137th time, leaving the request of their citizens unanswered," said the protesters.

Chairman of the Pan-Armenian National Movement (HHSh), Aram Manukyan is convinced that the Council of Europe Commission for Human Rights will present an impartial report on the situation in Armenia, given his numerous meetings in Armenia and interest towards the political prisoners.

"Hammarberg saw that the political prisoners' relatives are obstinate and will go till the end. The day of power change is nearing. Power change is the only way to put the country on the natural path," said Aram Manukyan.
