Government didn’t respond
"Heritage" faction still hasn't received a response from the government, "Heritage" MP Armen Martirosyan informed "A1+".
On December 21, "Heritage" MPs had presented their proposals regarding the law on APPA (Obligatory Car Insurance of Civil Liability) to the government. The government was supposed to respond to their proposals within two days and today was the last day.
Let us remind that "Heritage" Party demanded
1. postponing the enforcement of the law from 1 January 2011 for a year.
2. reducing the groundless high prices for agreements established by the Central Bank; raising the amount of maximum sums for compensation for damages as a result of accidents by ensuring their reasonable relativity with insurance prices
3. modify the order of licensing insurance companies and ensuring the transparency of the process of licensing.
4. removing the limit on the lower threshold for prices by creating a field of free competition for insurance companies.
5. convening a special NA session by 31 December 2010 to implement the above mentioned and other changes in the law.
