On December 16, the National Commission on Television and Radio denied Meltex LLC (A1+ Company) a broadcast license for digital range over 'fake' documents presented in the company's contest package.

According to Commission Chairman Grigor Amalyan, the fabrications found in the company's business plan suggest that the information on two influential organizations, which promised financial assistance to A1+, is false. This, according to Amalyan, prompted the Commission to send inquiries to the correspondent countries - UK and Belize - where the companies mentioned in A1+'s package had operated. Relevant agencies informed the Commission that no such companies are running any business there.

"The existing fabrications in the business plan attest to the fact that Meltex LLC cannot implement its program," said Grigor Amalyan while summarizing the results of the competition.

A1+ is trying to find out on which grounds the company had been denied a license by the Commission.
On December 16 and 20, the Company asked the Commission for copies of the documents submitted by the aforementioned companies.

After the NCTR failed to answer A1+'s inquiries, the Company had to apply to Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.

In particular, Amalyan focused on Rogeston Logistics Ltd or Rogerson Logistics Ltd, saying they had received relevant information about the organization from Belize through formal inquiries.

In reply to A1+'s request, the Commission sent a letter without presenting the copies of documents obtained through formal inquiries. The Commission only submitted a fax with the numbers 00-818-265-3800.

According to our information, Grigor Hovhannisyan is Armenia's Consul in the United States of America (Los Angeles).

The fax was provided by the Belize Companies and Corporate Affairs Registry and was addressed to Grigor Hovhannisyan. According to Amalyan, the Registry searched out their database but could not find the name or address of Rogerson Logistics Ltd.

"To protect our interests and rights prescribed by law we would like to know whether Grigor Hovhannisyan is really Armenia's Consul in the USA and whether the fax number belongs to the Consulate of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles. If so, please, provide us with the copies of records of Grigor Hovhannisyan, Belize Companies and Corporate Affairs Registry and NCTR," reads A1+'s letter addressed to Minister Edward Nalbandian.
