Gas price to go up?
"Starting 1 April 2011, Armenians will pay the market price for gas," said Vice-President of ArmRusGazard Company Anatoli Podmishalsky in Yerevan.
According to him, in case of negotiations, other possible versions may be determined within 2-3 months.
Anatoly Podmishalsky introduced the staff at ArmRusGazard CJSC to the acting Director General Vardan Harutyunyan.
According to him, as a smithy of cadres, ArmRusGazard has promoted the incumbent mayor who is already in office after his inauguration yesterday.
"We are very grateful to the staff and Karen Karapetyan who has created an efficient company throughout his term in office. In the past years, the staff at ArmRusGazard has set a very good example and has worked very efficiently," said Podmishalsky.
Anatoly Podmishalsky has taken on the duties of Board President-Director General of the Company since 20 December until the election of a Director General by the order established by the RA law "On Stock Companies".
During today's year-end press conference, RA Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan also touched upon the gas price increase.
"The gas inflation has an impact on gas consumption. By the end of the year, it will be clear as to how much consumption has reduced," said Podmishalsky.
As far as rumors about the possible rise of gas prices next year, the Minister assured that the government is doing everything possible not to raise the gas price.
