Isn’t the lion dangerous?
The lion that attacked and killed a zoo worker in Hrazdan City will be transferred to Yerevan in April 2011.
On November 28, Nver Sargsyan, 21, was attacked and mauled to death by the lion when he was trying to feed the animal. Nver was hospitalized but doctors were unable to save his life.
Director of Yerevan Zoo Sahak Abovyan says they are still undecided whether to kill the animal or not. The animal's fate will be decided in April.
According to Abovyan, some specialists are against killing the lion.
He says the lion has never showed aggression.
"Probably, the lion went out of the cage and attacked the boy or Nver may have tried to play with the lion with his foot," said the director of Yerevan Zoo.
