"Neither patriotism nor diplomacy"
"The Armenian Genocide was an individual pain and memory of every Armenian and the nation as a whole. We are confident that there is no alternative to the path of reconciliation from acknowledgement to leniency, from justice to peace, tolerance and co-existence," said Serzh Sargsyan during the international conference on "The crime of genocide: prevention, condemnation and elimination of consequences".
Serzh Sargsyan added that "for the sake of all humanity and civilized world, we have to protect out planet from such disasters."
"Parallel to the steps to reconsider the historical facts that have been scientifically proven and have received the adequate evaluation of the international community, certain powers are trying to artificially create stories of "their own genocides". Such false approaches are primitive commentaries of the clearly formulated legal grounds of the crime of genocide. I would just like to say that the so-called "granting of genocide" to your own nation is neither patriotism nor diplomacy."
"To conceal your guilt and the crime is to commit a new crime. This cynicism goes to show that some truly don't comprehend or don't want to understand the terrible price that humanity has paid and continues to pay," said Serzh Sargsyan.
