Protest action due outside RA government
On December 13, a group of Hrazdan citizens will gather outside the RA government to receive the answer to their letter.
On November 22, they addressed a letter to the executive body demanding to annul a decision of February 25 which recognizes the lands in Kotayk's Artavazd village as "areas of public interest."
As a result of the disputed decision, about 100 families, including the family of political prisoner Sasun Mikaelyan, were deprived of their lands. The right of ownership was transferred to Republican Party member Gagik Abrahamyan, the brother of UAR President Ara Abrahamyan, and Sheikh of Saudi Arabia Mohammad Musallam. They want to build a water factory in the territory.
The residents will hold a march to the President's residence, if they receive a negative answer.
