Armenia joined the WTO agreement
Support A1+!The World Trade Organization's State Purchases Committee held an official sitting in Geneva, Switzerland.
The sitting was devoted to Armenia's accession to the WTO's State Purchases Agreement and the committee took a unanimous decision on Armenia's accession.
Head of the Department of EU and International Economic Cooperation at the RA Ministry of Economy Varos Simonyan and Head of the Department of Regulating the Process of Purchases and Completing the Budgets at the RA Ministry of Finance Karen Brutyan left for Switzerland to participate in the sitting and ensure Armenia's accession to the Agreement on State Purchases.
In 2003, within the framework of the process of Armenia's integration into the World Trade Organization (WTO), Armenia took on the responsibility of joining the WTO's Agreement on State Purchases. Armenia's integration is also prescribed in the process of preparing negotiations for the signing of the EU-Armenia Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement, which began in 2009.
