Protesters, police clash in Ijevan
An incident broke out during today's protest in Ijevan town.
The protesters entered into violent confrontation with police after they forced the action participants to walk along the pavement, A1+'s reporter inrforms from the site.
Present at the protest are members of the Armenian National Congress (HAK)Vahagn Khachatryan, Petros Makeyan, David Matevosyan, Michael Hayrapetyan and Lyudmila Sargsyan.
The protest was held in support of jailed editor-in-chief of Haykakan Zhamanak daily Nikool Pashinyan. The local authorities had not sanctioned the rally.
