Death caused by smoke from mattress
The body of Karapet Zaizyan (born in 1971) was found in house #5 located on 13th Street in Haykavan village of Armavir province. The inspector of the province's fire inspectorate left for the scene.
According to preliminary data, K. Zaizyan was smoked and the cause for his death was the smoke coming from the half-burnt mattress.
Fire put out in the morning
Yesterday grassy areas on the hillsides located north-east of Vanadzor city of Lori province and Mount Maymekh located in the south (Bazum mountain chain) were burnt.
A special firefighting-rescue team of Gugark village left for the scene.
The firefighters stopped working at midnight and restarted in the morning. Rescuers from the province's rescue departments, as well as firefighters and rescuers from the special rescue squadron of Gugark village also left for the scene.
The fire was put out at 7 a.m. through the efforts of the "ArmForest" State Non-Commercial Organization Gugark branch on Mount Maynekh.
The fire left 10 ha of grassy area burnt.
