Mushegh Saghatelyan released
Member of the Hanrapetutyun (Republic) Party Mushegh Saghatelyan was released on November 24.
Saghatelyan's relatives and friends today grouped in front of the Nubarashen penitentiary institution waiting for his release.
"My father's health has deteriorated in the past years but he is still in good spirits," Saghatelyan's son, Sevak, told A1+.
Mushegh Saghatelyan was detained in the wake of deadly clashes of March 1, 2008. He was charged under Article 316 of the RA Penal Code (violence against a government representative), and Article 235 (illegal acquisition, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of arms, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices). Saghatelyan was sentenced to five years' imprisonment.
Saghatelyan has served half of the prison term.
