Eleven criminal cases initiated
Eleven criminal cases were initiated as a result of discussions of the reports received from the RA Control Chamber during 2008-2009. 193,9 million drams was recovered after the preparation of materials and during the preliminary investigation of the criminal cases.
Thus, during 2008 the RA General Prosecutor's Office received 8 reports from the RA Control Chamber, five criminal cases were initiated on the prepared materials and concerning three cases decisions were made to refuse the initiation of criminal cases. 135 million drams was recovered after the preparation of materials and during the preliminary investigation of the criminal cases.
During 2009 eight reports were received from the RA Control Chamber, one of which was sent on the initiative of the Control Chamber and the other seven were demanded by the RA General Prosecutor's Office. The mentioned seven reports were demanded twice and were sent only in five months on December 21, 2009. One of the reports included facts of violation in three communities and separate materials were prepared. Six criminal cases were launched on the prepared materials and concerning four cases decisions were made to refuse the initiation of criminal cases. 58,9 million drams was recovered after the preparation of materials and during the preliminary investigation of the criminal cases.
During 2010 the RA General Prosecutor's Office didn't receive any reports or materials from the RA Control Chamber.
Notice: Materials on the abuses during the implementation of the works stated by the agreement signed between the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the "Sokol Group" Ltd on December 27, 2004, December 27, 2005 and December 25, 2006 with the purpose to buy apartments in the framework of the RA Government's July 23, 2003 № 983-N decision "On providing apartments to children left without parental care" were received from the Control Chamber. Taking into consideration the fact that on April 22, 2008 the State Interests Protection Department of the RA General Prosecutor's Office had launched a criminal case according to the RA Criminal Code Articles 308, part 2 and 188, part 3 and the preliminary investigation had been tasked to the General Investigation Department of the RA Police, the materials received from the Control Chamber were sent to the Investigation Department of the RA Police to investigate them in the framework of the initiated criminal case.
The materials about the mentioned company were received from Control Chamber only six months later after the initiation of the criminal case by the RA General Prosecutor's Office. During the preliminary investigation of the criminal case 525,2 million drams was recovered.
