Protest action outside Prosecutor General Office
Numerous supporters of Armenian political prisoners today held a protest outside the Office of Prosecutor General demanding the city authorities to release their friends.
"We shall continue the Friday protests until the political prisoners are freed and the events of March 1, 2010 are disclosed," said protester Sona Muradyan.
It is already the 130th time the group gathers in the same place with the same demand.
"Nothing has changed these years. Only the number of political prisoners has reduced in the country," Mrs. Muradyan added.
"We are also here to support Nikol Pashinyan. One cannot surrender after passing through so many sufferings," said Martin Aslanian. "The authorities failed to realize that the editor-in-chief of Haykakan Zhamanak daily, Nikol Pashinyan is a "hard nut to crack." Each of us struggles to see Pashinyan in freedom."
"We shall spare no effort to have Pashinyan and others freed," said Sargis Ghazaryan.
"Our ranks increase with every passing day. More and more young people join us as they understand that the situation can be changed only with joint efforts," said Armenian National Congress activist Sargis Gevorgyan.
