Iranian, Azerbaijani Presidents meet in Baku
On November 17, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad met with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev in the course of an official visit to Azerbaijan. The meeting was held behind closed doors.
The sides highlighted successful development of bilateral relations in different fields and stressed that Iranian President's visit to Azerbaijan will contribute to development of bilateral ties.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on bilateral and international issues.
The Iranian President arrived in Baku to attend the third Caspian summit due on November 18.
Leaders of five Caspian states - Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan - will participate in the summit.
Regional security and the legal status of the Caspian Sea will highlight the agenda of the summit.
