Russian-based Armenian businessmen promise $8 mln assistance
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan attended the annual gala night of the All-Armenian Hayastan Fund in Moscow.
A charity dinner was organised after the event with the participation of 150 Russian-based Armenian entrepreneurs. During the dinner, Armenian businessmen of Russia promised to allocate $8 mln to the All-Armenian Hayastan Fund.
Present at the dinner were Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan, RA Minsiter of Diaspora Harunush Hakobyan, Armenian Ambassador to Russia Oleg Yesayan and Executive Director of All-Armenian Hayastan Fund Ara Vardanyan.
The money will help restore irrigation water system in Artsakh and develop Armenian frontier villages.
The names of benefactors will be publicised on November 25 during "Water is Life" Telethon.
