What happened in Nikol’s cell?
Press speaker for the head of the penitentiary department Arsen Babayan's statement without any commentary.
"This evening Nikol Pashinyan, who is a prisoner at the "Kosh" penitentiary of the RA Ministry of Justice, has made another sincere statement regarding the assault against him. The following are the circumstances for that "developed", nonsensical statement:
At 2:50 a.m. the prisoner starts making noise and announces that he has been attacked by two "Special Service" officials with masks. The lights in the cell go on and the 18 prisoners in the same room explain to the prisoner that there was no masked official in the cell.
Two minutes later, employees of the penitentiary enter the cell and call the prisoner to the on-duty section to clear up the facts and undergo a medical examination by accepting the prisoner's statement as a basis. The results of the examination show no physical injury and the prisoners at the cell just explain that there had not been any attempt to assault and some express views that this was just one of Nikol Pashinyan's dreams.
Until then, at an hour that was agreed upon in advance (there was simply no call from the penitentiary at those hours and this serves as a basis for that claim), different officials receive night calls to find out the facts of the scenario and to take preventive measures. At 4 a.m. the prisoner receives a visit by MP Zaruhi Postanjyan who talks to the person who made the statement and his fellow prisoners and they also present the same situation. Then, public observers also witness the same situation.
The subsequent initiative among the series of unserious initiatives is, according to us the insatiable desire to create an illusion of an assault against N. Pashinyan".
