Criminal case brought up
The four HAK youth activists Sargis Gevorgyan, Vahagn Gevorgyan, Areg Gevorgyan and Sargis Ghazaryan spent nearly 9 hours at the police headquarters today.
Sargis and Vahagn Gevorgyan told "A1+" that they are in good condition and informed that nearly 20 police officers beat them while taking them to the on-duty section of the police headquarters.
There were no traces of beatings on the boys' faces because, according to them, the police officers had hit their heads and other body parts.
"Twenty police officers threw us to the ground and started hitting us with their feet and hands," said Sargis Gevorgyan.
The police stopped beating the boys only after high-level police officers came to the headquarters and stopped their actions.
Sargis and Vahagn affirmed that they recognize all police officers by their faces.
"We need a little time to find out their names and last names and offices," said Sargis Gevorgyan.
The HAK activists refused to testify at the Kentron police headquarters because they didn't trust them.
They were released, but received a warning that a criminal case has been brought up against them under Article 316 of the RA Criminal Code for violence against a state representative. They were also told that they have to show up to the police headquarters upon receiving the notice.
"There was a deputy colonel who announced that we had beaten him," Sargis Gevorgyan told "A1+".
