HAK to hold piquet and rally in one day
The opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK) will hold a six-hour piquet in Yerevan (at Charles Aznavour Square) on November 9. The same day, Yerevan will host EU-Armenia Civil Society Seminar on the Right to a Fair Trial and Independence of the Judiciary.
The piquet will start at 9 a.m.
At 6p.m., HAK will hold a rally near the Matenadaran Institute building.
Among the speakers are: the recently released political prisoner Ashot Manukyan, former Armenian Premier Hrant Bagratyan, HAK Coordinator Levon Zurabyan, Chairman of the Republic Party Aram Sargsyan, Chairman of the People's Party of Armenia(HZhK) Stepan Demirchayn and Armenia's first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan.
The rally will be conducted by Board Chairman of the Armenian Pan-National Movement (HHSh) Party Aram Manukyan.
HAK requests Armenian citizens to report on every incident with the traffic police, government and non-government bodies.
