Iraq to open embassy in Armenia
Armenia's Ambassador to Iraq Murad Muradyan presented the copies of his credentials to Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshiar Chebari. The official ceremony was followed by private talks.
Congratulating the Ambassador, Minister Chebari welcomed Armenia's decision to open an embassy in Iraq and said Iraq will take steps toward opening an embassy in Armenia.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to bilateral relations. They attached importance to the need to create a legal-contractual field, which will create opportunities for further effective cooperation and expansion of relations in trade, economy, culture and the humanities.
In the end, Minister Chebari expressed hope that Armenia's Ambassador will make an important contribution to further reinforcement of Armenian-Iraqi friendly relations and expressed the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the implementation of the Ambassador's mission.
