Body of Armenian captive will be returned
Information was just received that the Azerbaijani side will return the body of 21-year old Armenian captive Manvel Saribekyan. According to Azerbaijan, he had committed suicide on October 5.
Manvel Saribekyan was a resident of the Tchambarak village in Gegharkunik province. On September 11, while looking for his herd, he crossed the line of contact of the Armenian and Azerbaijani Armed Forces and was taken captive.
At the moment, the two sides are holding talks with the intermediation of Red Cross representatives on the Ijevan-Gazakh road located in the north-eastern border of the Armenian-Azerbaijani line of contact. The Armenian side will hand the body of the Azerbaijani citizen who illegally crossed the RA border last December. His name hasn't been released yet. As "A1+"'s correspondent reported, he is a man under 50 and his eyes are closed.
The exchange of bodies comes after the agreement reached by the Armenian, Azerbaijani and Russian presidents in Astrakhan on October 27, 2010.
