“Armenia is to blame for increasing Turkey’s role”
Armenia's ex-Foreign Minister Alexander Arzumanyan does not anticipate serious alterations during the meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents on the sidelines of the Astana summit. He says the moment for the conflict resolution has not matured yet.
As for the presidential meeting in Astrakhan, he thinks that that "Russia has once again reminded the world that it can provide the key to Karabakh conflict settlement."
Regarding Turkey's attempts to get engaged in the negotiation process, Mr. Arzumanyan blamed it on Armenian authorities.
"Turkey's role activated in the region due to Armenia's initiative policy and football diplomacy, " he said.
