Cheese prices up in Armenia
The prices of Armenian cheese have equaled those of imported cheese in a few weeks. "Lori" cheese is sold at 2300-2500 drams against previous 1200 drams.
"Life became expensive, hence the increase in cheese prices," said saleswoman Elmira.
The RA State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition explains the price hike by the increase in milk prices while resellers say the advance in prices is caused by the lack of milk.
