Ayvazyan unaware of reasons
Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Vardan Ayvazyan does not know why the cheese price went up in Armenia in a night.
"The price hike can be determined by the demand or some other factor. Farmers can raise the prices. I cannot say definitely unless we study the reasons," Vardan Ayvazyan told reporters on October 25.
Speaking about the inflation, the Republican MP said prices should be restrained and emphasized the role of the Central Bank in this respect.
Chairman of the Union of Domestic Manufacturers of Armenia Vazgen Safaryan cited the international practice saying the infaltion is indexed if it exceeds six percent.
Mr. Safaryan noted that although the 2011 draft budget is socially orientated it is not for Armenia.
"We need a a budget of sustainable economic growth. The draft budget does not gurantee full pensions for retirees. We must reconsider our ecoinomic policy," he said.
