Serzh Sargsyan congratulates UN
The United Nations Organisation will mark its 65th anniversary on October 24.
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan today visited the UN Armenia office to congratulate the corps on the occasion. Serzh Sargsyan highly appreciated the cooperation between Armenia and UNtargeted at the development of Armenia and the prosperity of its citizens.
"The past 35 years showed that the UN role in the development of humanity is simply irreplaceable. I'm glad that by joining the UN in 1992, accepting the universal values democratic principles as part of state ideology, Armenia got actively involved in the activity of UN agencies and managed to contribute to the common work within the limit of its capacities," Serzh Sargsyan said, adding that "Armenia is ready to continue participating in the organization's activity and contribute to the common success."
UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia Dafina Gercheva noted all issues can be settled through joint efforts boosting the prosperity of Armenian citizens with every passing year.
