Civil servant accused of receiving illegal payment
An inspector of Shirak Territorial Division of the State Urban Inspectorate of the RA Ministry of Urban Development has been accused according to the RA Criminal Code Article 3111 point 4, part 2 for receiving illegal payment.
Investigating the proofs obtained by the preliminary investigation body it has turned out that the state inspector of Shirak Territorial Division of the Urban Planning State Inspectorate of the RA Ministry of Urban Development G. Hakobyan from 2006 to 2008 demanded and received 2 230 000 drams of illegal payment from 27 builders of the former administrative district Artik in Shirak region.
G. Hakobyan gave false contracts on providing technical supervision over the construction and contracts to the above-mentioned builders.
Arrest has been chosen as a measure of restraint for G. Hakobyan. The preliminary investigation is being carried out.
