The HAK's territorial office in Gyumri has been under police supervision since morning. "Some policemen were overseeing our actions since 8 a.m. this morning. We were getting ready to take part in the events scheduled in Yerevan, including the 6-hour picket and the rally. When we sat on the bus in the morning to go to Yerevan, the policeman stopped the bus and asked the driver to step out for a talk," said Head of the HAK's territorial office in Gyumri, Artak Zakaryan during a telephone conversation with "A1+".

After the short talk, the driver returned and refused to drive to Yerevan. "The driver said if he drove to Yerevan, he would have serious problems with the police and taxation bodies. The police officer even threatened that there were other policemen on the road who would fine him 200,000 drams," said Mr. Zakaryan. The representatives of the HAK's office in Gyumri weren't able to convince the driver to take them to Yerevan.

"We are currently coming to Yerevan by car. We will participate in all events in Yerevan regardless of the obstacles," said Ashot Zakaryan. He also informed that the bus that they had rented was private and wasn't part of any route. "The driver had agreed to take us with pleasure."
