The OSCE Minsk Group completes its field assessment mission in the territories around Karabakh on October 14.
Political scientist Alexander Kananyan says the permission to conduct a mission in the aforesaid territories speaks of Yerevan's weakness and Stepanakert's inability to take decisions.
The mission simply "killed time" and we need not expect serious reports from the group.
"Visiting the liberated territories the OSCE co-chiars understood that the small group of Armenians who reside in the area connect their future with the territories," Alexander Kananyan told reporters on October 13.
Republic Karen Avagyan today expressed a different opinion.
"The mission proved effective. All fears that Azerbaijan wants to raise the issue Azerbaijani occupied lands through the mission are ungrounded," he said.
