October 13 declared day of mourning in Ukraine
October 13 is announced a day of mourning in Ukraine for the 43 people killed in an accident in Dnipropetrovsk.
President Serzh Sargsyan today sent his condolences to Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.
"Dear Mr Yanukovych, we were deeply grieved to hear about the terrible crash of a train and bus in Dnipropetrovsk region. I sincerely share the pain of the bereaved families and relatives."
The death toll in the Ukrainian accident involving a train that collided with a passenger bus reached 43, including two children, the Ukrainian Emergency Ministry said on October 12.
The accident occurred on Tuesday morning in the town of Marganets when a train en route to Krivoy Rog and Zaporozhye slammed into a passenger bus at a railway crossing. The bus driver drove onto the railroad, despite a warning from a railroad traffic control signal.
