Armenian National Congress activist David Kiramijyan today testified at the first instance court of Kentron and Nork-Marash districts. Sargis Gevorgyan had testified during the previous trial.

According to the charge, on May 31 Kiramijyan and Gevorgyan had participated in the massive public events organized by violation of the order prescribed by the law and had committed hooligan acts.

During his testimony, David Kiramijyan stressed that he had not taken part in any massive public event and that the charge was groundless. They had simply wanted to enter Freedom Square.

As far as hooligan acts are concerned, Kiramijyan mentioned that he had gotten frustrated after seeing somebody by the name of Varazdat Tadevosyan taking photos with his mobile phone and insulting ANC women activists whom the police were prohibiting from entering the square. A dispute began and Varazdat Tadevosyan injured David Kiramijyan.

However, Varazdat Tadevosyan has presented a written document which states the physical injuries.

None of the injured parties showed up to court throughout the entire trial. Judge Mnatsakan Martirosyan today announced once again that they must be notified immediately and called to court to testify. The next trial will be held on November 2 at 10 a.m. If the injured parties don't show up on that day either, the prosecutor will most probably release the accusatory speech.
