"Guluzade makes incoherent statements"
ARF-Dashnaktsutyun delegates Mario Nalpandian and Kiro Manoyan today arrived in Baku to participate in the meeting of Socialist International Committee for the CIS, the Caucasus and the Black Sea. The visit followed the announcement of Azerbaijani political scientist Vafa Guluzade who said, "Dashnaks are our foes. They have nothing to do in Baku."
"Guluzade has always made incoherent statements, which cannot be ascribed to the country's ruling elite," Spokesman for ARF Supreme Body Spartak Seyranyan told A1+.
"Our neighbours should have respect for themselves and ensure the security of people participating in an international meeting," he added.
Yerkir Media will not be taken off the air
"We are discontent with Armenia's foreign policy," Abo Poghikyan, the editor-in-chief of Los Angeles-based daily "Asbarez," told A1+.
He does not think that the resolution on the situation in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan was withdrawn from the UN GA sitting thanks to Armenian authorities.
"I am glad that the resolution has been removed from the UN, though temporarily," said Mr. Poghikyan.
Editor-in-chief of Beirut-based "Azdak" daily Shahan Gandaharyan says Armenians should unite in all issues of national importance.
Representatives of 30 Diaspora media outlets today sounded against the closure of Armenian media outlet, including "Yerkir Media."
"I am against the closure of media outlets, be it on technical or political grounds," said Abo Poghikyan
"Yerkir Media TV will not be closed down as it has its unique place among Armenian TV channels. Yerkir Media is doing something other TV companies cannot do," ARF-Dashnaktsutyun member Spartak Seyranyan told the presentees.
Four out of 22 Armenian TV companies will be deprived of airtime as a result of a broadcasting tender to be held in Armenia in December 2010.
