Minister Nalbandian indignant over Armenian captive’s death
During a meeting with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs on October 6, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian expressed indignation over the death of an Armenian captive who reportedly committed suicide in an Azeri prison on October 5.
Minister Nalbandian noted that for 25 days representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross had had no opportunity to meet the Armenian sheperd.
The Armenian FM said that the stance of Azerbaijani authorities does not benefit the negotiation process, the RA MFA press service reports.
The Co-Chairs briefed Minister Nalbandian on their meetings in Azerbaijan and their further steps.
The co-chairs are in the region within the framework of field assessment mission.
Tomorrow, they will leave for Stepanakert to visit the territories around Karabkh.
