Armenia's ex political prisoner Vardges Gaspari demands to bring a criminal case against the RA police for violating his right to freedom of speech, peaceful demonstrations and free move and for affronting his human dignity.

Gaspari states that the police violated his rights on October 2 at Liberty Square where he was holding a one-day sit-in. Gaspari was approached by two police officers who immediately started inquiring about the action.

On the night of October 3, at about 1a.m., he was awakened by ten police officers led by Colonel Robert Melkonyan.

"They said I had no right to conduct a sit-in at the square as the action was not sanctioned. Further, they drove me away from the square in a police car. Before that, Melkonyan looked fiercely at me and demanded to leave the square. He grasped the poster I had with me and offended my dignity calling me a lunatic and animal," Gaspari said.

Gaspari was dropped off near the Sport and Concert Complex after Karen Demirchyan but he returned to the square.

"The second time I was forced into a Ford by a group of "red hats" at about 4:30 a.m. They drove me to the Sport and Concert Complex and left me on the sidewalk"
The same story repeated a third time, at 6 o'clock in the morning.
