“ArmRusGazard” has no information
It is still not clear as to whether the gas price will go up in Armenia in 2011 or not. Head of the Department of News and Public Relations at "ArmRusGazard" Shushan Sardaryan has not provided any information yet.
In late September, Deputy Head of the Russian "GazProm"'s Department Andrey Kruglov announced that Armenia will make the transition to gas pricing in 2011, meaning that Armenians will pay the same price for gas as Europeans.
The gas inflation was discussed in mid-August during Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's visit to Armenia. RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan had stated that the administration of "ArmRusGazard" has been assigned to continue talks with Russian partners to make the policy and methodology of the gas price predictable for Armenia.
Currently, Armenians pay 132 drams for 1 cubic meter of gas.
