Armenian students to work in the Bundestag

Students of the Faculty of International Affairs at Yerevan State University have the chance to work in Germany.

The delegation headed by member of the German Bundestag Maria Flachsbart today had a meeting with Armenian students. The 120 students from 28 countries and Armenian students with scholarships will have the chance to get acquainted with Germany's parliamentary system and work in the deputies' offices.

The program funded by the German Bundestag will launch on March 1, 2011 and will end on July 31.

Students are required to have excellent knowledge of German and a Bachelor's Degree.

During today's meeting, the students asked questions which were mainly related to politics. David asked about Germany's cooperation with Armenia and Azerbaijan and, according to the deputy, the cooperation is different with Armenia and Azerbaijan.

One of the students also asked about the Karabakh conflict.

"Our republic is interested in peace between the neighbors," said the deputy in closing.
