2 million people visited Armenia’s pavilion

During today's press conference at "Shanghai Expo-2010", RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan attached importance to the meeting with the First Deputy Prime Minister of the People's Republic of China Li Ketsian during which the sides discussed the perspectives of development of Armenian-Chinese relations.
In response to the question regarding concrete results of the exposition, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan mentioned that over two million people visited Armenia's pavilion at "Shanghai Expo-2010" which was rated as one of the best.

Touching upon China's possible participation in the Iran-Armenia railway construction, the RA Prime Minister informed that the proposals have been presented to Chinese partners and they are currently being discussed.

Tigran Sargsyan informed that he has also presented new programs, particularly the reprocessing of basalt, receiving basalt fiber, releasing solar batteries and semi-conductors and other projects that include the spheres of agriculture, science and industry.

The RA Prime Minister also informed that the sides discussed opportunities for joint production of an accelerator.

What is the possibility of realizing Armenia's "City of the World" project? In response, Tigran Sargsyan mentioned: "Today we are witnessing how Shanghai has grown to become one of the largest cities in the world. I am certain that if there are people in Armenia who are truly able to believe in new ideas, the "City of the World" project will definitely be built," said Armenia's Prime Minister.

The RA Prime Minister also visited the pavilions of Argentina and England and attended the final concert organized at Europe Square with performances by Armenian artists.

The RA Prime Minister's visit will proceed on September 22 and 23.
