Balasanyan or Safaryan?
After the office of vice-chairman of the National Assembly remained vacant yesterday, members of "Bargavach Hayastan" (Prosperous Armenia) Party started holding discussions on which member of the "Bargavach Hayastan" party with a mandate will fill in the vacancy. Arevik Petrosyan resigned from the office of vice-chairman yesterday.
According to sources, Naira Zohrabyan not only doesn't have pretensions, but it is clear that she won't hold that office.
According to our sources, the selection will be between Aram Safaryan and Samvel Balasanyan. Let us remind that Aram Safaryan is currently heading Armenia's official delegation to the OSCE and the inter-parliamentary committee on cooperation between the RA National Assembly and the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
The former prominent "Orinats Yerkir" (Country of Law) Party Samvel Balasanyan recently joined "Bargavach Hayastan" and has already been elected head of the structure in Shirak region. It will soon be clear as to whom Chairman of "Bargavach Hayastan" Gagik Tsarukyan will choose and the deputies of the National Assembly will "ratify" the party's selection during a confidential vote in the parliament's October session.
