“Interference will complicate negotiation process”
During today's hearing in the case "Chiragov and Others against Armenia," the European Court of Human Rights inquired from the sides how the legal procedure would affect the Karabakh conflict peaceful settlement.
In response, Armenia's representative to the ECtHR Gevorg Kostanyan reminded that the Karbakh conflict is regulated within the framework of the OSCE Minsk group.
"Interference of any other structure will further complicate the negotiation process. Both the Armenian authorities and the mediators have reiterated this since 1992," Mr. Kostanyan said.
The case "Chiragov and Others against Armenia" is not subject to consideration of the European Court of Human Rights, as the control over the territories mentioned in the complaint of Azerbaijani plaintiffs is exercised by Artsakh authorities, Kostanyan noted.
