Iranian representations to open in Armenia
Armenia's Ambassador to Iran Grigor Arakelyan met with Iranian Minister of Commerce Mehdi Ghazanfari.
During the meeting, the sides positively assessed the level of existing trade-economic relations between both countries. The interlocutors agreed that the circulation of products may be doubled and multiplied after regulating the juridical-contractual field and that the joint commission on intergovernmental relations can contribute to that. The Iranian side was informed about the upcoming visits to Iran and Armenia and the implementation of joint projects.
Minister Ghazanfari placed importance on bilateral trade relations and proposed to create a standing working committee at the level of Armenian and Iranian ministers or deputy ministers of commerce. With the purpose of ensuring the entrance of Iranian products in the Armenian market, Iran's Minister of Commerce proposed to open representations of large Iranian companies in Armenia and organize professional expositions through chambers of commerce and industry.
