Relatives of the victims of “March 1” held a protest
Relatives and friends of the 10 victims of the events of March 1 gathered in front of the PACE Office in Yerevan with photos of the victims and a sign reading "Where are the assassins of March 1?" They stood silent for nearly an hour and then transmitted a letter to the CE Secretary General and the PACE President.
"Today marks two and a half years since the death of our children. Two and half years ago this day our children gathered in front of the French Embassy with the hope to see change, but they were executed. After two and a half years, nothing has been revealed," said activist Alla Hovhannisyan who is the mother of Tigran Khachatryan who was shot by the "Cheryomukha 7" device. Hovhannisyan added that she has no hopes and has simply come to remind the Europeans that the issue remains unsolved before the PACE Fall Sitting.
Another activist Sargis Kloyan, father of Gor Kloyan who died on March 1, reminded that they are already presenting the 5th letter, but it is useless. He has no expectations and is sure that they will reach justice and the revelation of the crimes only after change of power.
Another 10 people had gathered in front of the government building with screams and photos of two dead soldiers.
They were demanding that the government reveal the real people who killed their sons.
"At least they can do something to calm us down. If not, I demand my grandchild. They called us, didn't give a response and ignore us," says Heghine Petrosyan, the grandmother of dead soldier Khachik Grigoryan.
Another relative added that they had come to inform Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan that the issue cannot remain unsolved and let commanders be in liberty. "If they died during the war, we wouldn't raise concerns. But we can't permit Armenians killing the soldiers in peaceful conditions."
