HAK (Armenian National Congress) Coordinator Levon Zurabyan today refused to comment on former HHSh member Karapet Rubinyan's open letter in which he announces that the results of the elections for the HHSh's Board were falsified.

"If the Congress makes comments, that can be a very bad precedent," Levon Zurabyan told "A1+", reminding that HAK has 18-member parties that can have many internal problems.

Levon Zurabyan refused to comment on Karapet Rubinyan's allegations against Levon Ter-Petrosyan according to which the First RA President is punishing him for criticizing HAK's policies and that was why he wasn't re-elected as board member.

Zurabyan recalled a part of Rubinyan's speech at the HHSh's congress on July 17: "Let us affirm once again our determination to continue the fight for establishment of democracy and legality in Armenia and against the Serzho-Rob bandit, anti-state regime. We members of the HHSh are obliged to be among the first to fight with our liberal-democratic convictions and history of our party. With that sense of responsibility, HHSh must continue its efforts and take on the role of an initiator and fighter within the Armenian National Congress."

Rubinyan's speech serves as a basis for Levon Zurabyan to say that it "inspires HAK and shows that there is no problem with the cooperation between HHSh and HAK."

Karapet Rubinyan told "A1+" today that he has stated his thoughts in the open letter and is not planning to add anything new for the next week.

Newly elected chairman of the HHSh Aram Manukyan told "A1+" that he is planning to hold a press conference tomorrow to address Karapet Rubinyan's open letter.
