“Alik Sargsyan has no connection to Governor’s resignation”
"RA Police Chief Alik Sargsyan has no connection to the resignation of Ararat Governor Vardges Hovakimyan. Nor was he involved in the scuffle with the participation of Hovakimyan's son during which the latter decided to present an unknown girl with roses in the presence of her boyfriend," reads a police statement of July 16.
In one of his interviews, Vardges Hovakimyan spoke about the incident saying it was "incited" by Police Chief Alik Sargsyan.
