Head of "Modus Vivendi" Center, diplomat Ara Papyan says that the Armenian authorities will be in eternal sleep if they concede in the talks on the Karabakh conflict.

"The majority of Armenians will be against the policy on making concessions. That won't be just concessions, but simply the start of perdition," Papyan told "A1+".
He considered Baku's statements on the return of territories as merely a desire and suggested that Armenia select the correct version of moving the Karabakh conflict to the sphere of international law.

The former RA Ambassador to Canada also commented on the information provided by Turkish mass media outlets according to which there will be surprising developments in Armenian-Turkish relationsin the fall and there are confidential Armenian-Turkish talks taking place.

"If they are talking about secret talks, then they are no longer secret. Besides that, we know that Turkey has always linked relations with Armenia to the Karabakh conflict. So, we can already assume that there will not be radical changes in the fall," he said.
He viewed Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmed Davutoglu's announcement on the "living" Turkey-Armenia Protocols as a warning to Azerbaijan.
"They have announced several times that Turkey doesn't need results, but a process. They always update the issue of the Protocols to weaken pressure from the West," stated Ara Papyan.

The diplomat is certain that the Turkish parliament will not ratify the Turkey-Armenia Protocols and sees two reasons for that-Azerbaijan's factor and the Turkish parliamentary elections to be held in 2011.
