Borderline for establishment of justice
On July 2, the RA Ministry of Diaspora and the World Armenian Congress will launch a conference on "100th Anniversary of the Great Armenian Genocide: borderline for establishment of justice" at the hall of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia.
The year 2015 will mark the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. According to conference organizers, the 100th anniversary of the Great Genocide is a borderline that the Armenian nation must cross with a qualitatively new, fair state for international recognition, condemnation of the Armenian Genocide and the claims of Armenians.
Based on this need, issues related to a pan-Armenian conceptual plan of joint actions for marking the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in 2015, the need of ensuring funds, materials and technical support and coordinating the implementation of the conceptual plan and Armenia's opportunity to addressing international tribunals with the issue of international recognition and that of overcoming the effects of genocide will be discussed during the conference.
President of the World Armenian Congress and the Union of Armenians of Russia Ara Abrahamyan will make opening remarks, followed by speeches by RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan and President of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia Radik Martirosyan.
The materials will be published in a separate manual in Armenian, Russian and English.
